What do you get the girl who has everything? Dame Judi’s birthday was coming up and she was very careful not to let anyone know…but I remembered from last year! Still, she wanted it kept kind of quiet so please do not tell anyone it is Lady Dame Judi’s birthday. Thanks! Since she didn’t want a fuss made, kitty kat and I decided to sneak in and stealth decorate her barren storage house. The house was named Favorite Things, so we decided to make the place a dress shop. It was a perfect opportunity to steal Gna Ko Na’s idea for a Modesty Screen/Dressing Room. Here is his original invention:

We needed ours to face the other way so we replaced the clubs with sledge hammers. However you decide to face yours, the instructions remain essentially the same—however clubs may need to be jacked up a little higher with the dec tool.
You can also use either color of tapestry, as long as you dye your pillows to match. Gna used black pillows for his dark tap, but I decided at the last minute to go with a light one, so dyed my pillows a deep green. I made that decision after I had gathered all my materials:

The dressing room will take up four tiles – you always want to start to the northwest and build to the southeast.
1) Stack 16 fishcakes (or black pearl, or whatever bit of trash you have handy) on the ground, and then place your first square pillow on top of it. Lock the pillow down.
2) Repeat step one in the tile beside the first one.

3) Starting with the bottom fishcake and working your way up, remove the fishcakes one at a time. You MUST go in order, starting with the bottom fishcake, or your pillows will fall and you will have to repeat steps one and two!
4) Place a sledge hammer under each pillow and lock it down. Place a third sledge hammer in the tile just north of your pillow tiles and lock it down too. (The door blocks your view of the first sledge hammer, but I have placed the cursor on it so you can see where it is. If you tap faces east, you want to line your clubs up under the pillows in the same way.
5) Jack each sledge hammer up 10 times with the dec tool. (Clubs may need to go up a few more notches!)![]()
6) You may want to lock down a bench or stool under one of the pillows now, so people can sit down to take their shoes off.
7) Now place the tapestry in the two tiles in front of the pillow tiles. And that’s it!

This dressing is room is perfect for a dress shop, or it would also look cute in a bedroom or a large bathroom! In this particular house, I like the contrast between the tidy shop in front, and the tailor’s chaotic, busy workstation behind the counter.
