I've actually got directions for a specific pool table, and then some suggestions
on how to make a couple of other styles at the bottom. This first one is
my favorite pool table, mostly I think because I like the scale of it. You
can fit this first pool table in a small tower easily, or in tavern made
on the bottom floor of a log cabin. Of course, it’s also the most irritating
to build. Hehe!
NOTES:
-The piece of cloth can be purchased at the NPC tailor shops. Tailors have
four shapes of cloth. One is plaid, one is tilted, one has a wrinkled corner
and one is flat and looks like a folded towel. You want the flat one.
-The piece of cloth should be dyed to match your tables—the closer you
get it, the better your table is going to look!
-You need at least 4 yarn balls. I personally like to get a few more on
there--as many as 8. Dye them all different colors…I like to leave one white
for a cue ball, and if you have a true black tub, make yourself an 8 ball!
1) Place two of the Long Wooden Tables so that they overlap, facing east,
like in the picture. They will stack like this naturally with no help from
the dec tool if you are patient. Just keep trying to place the second in
the tile right beside the first, and they will eventually end up this way.
2) Place the next two tables in next to the first two,
running parallel. Lock all four tables down.
3) The piece of cloth is going to help hide the gap between
the tables. Place it on the south end, targeting table 3 to place it. Lock
it!
4) Again targeting the south end of table 3, place the
staff you chose (Glacial or Quarter). If part of it appears to be UNDER
table 3, you need to pick it up and try again. You want it to be on top
of the cloth. Lock it.
5) Again targeting the south end of table 3, place one
of your yarn balls omn top of the staff. Lock it.
6) Raise the Yarn ball 4 or 5 times with the dec tool.
7) Now grab the black staff, and target where the cursor
is pointing in the image below to place it. Lock it.
8) Raise the Glacial or Quarter staff one time with the
dec tool.
9) Now all you need to do is place the rest of the balls
on the table! For example, you can place one by targeting table 4. It will
hop into the gap, but you will be able to see a little corner of it peeking
out from under the glacial/quarter staff. Lock it by targeting that little
corner, and then target the same corner with the dec tool. Raise it 8 times.
You can place another one in the same spot and raise it 4 times.
10) You can see that this puts all the balls on the far
side of the table. To get balls on the other side, you have to trick
them up there using the same optical illusion that puts the fish in aquariums.
You simply place one or even 2 balls in tiles A B and/or C and raise them
with the dec tool until they appear to be on top of the pool table.
ALTERNATIVES: You can also use either three green Yew tables laid side
by side, or 2 Large Stone Verite tables placed side by side for the base.
You then just put pool cues and balls all over the tables….easy peasy.
The Verite based table also looks rather nice if you use the larger gems
for the balls.
