Stable Tap

With customized housing, many folks have been adding little barns or pastures where their pets can live. This page will show you how to make a running-water tap for your stable and offer up other suggestions for deco-ing your stable or pasture space!

First, as always, you need to gather your materials!

1)    Place the barrel tap on the ground and lock it.

2) Raise it as high as it will go (15 spaces) using the dec tool.

3)    Lock a stack of 2 silver coins down in the same space that you placed the barrel tap and raise it 13 times.

4)    Lock another stack of 2 silver coins down in the same space, and raise it  12 times.

5)    Lock a third stack of 2 silver coins down, and raise them 10 times.

6)    Lock the spider silk down in the same tile, and raise it 5 times if you are planning to use an empty tub. Raise it four times if you are using a water trough.

7)    If you are using a water trough, go ahead and place it under the Spigot and skip down to step 11. If you are using a tub, place the Tub in the same square, lock it down, and raise it 4 times. The Spiders Silk will no longer appear.

8)    Unlock (release) the tub.

9)    Double click the water pitcher, and use the water to fill the tub. After the tub is full you will not be able to lock it down. The water inside it will keep it from decaying. Of course, someone with an empty pitcher CAN come along, empty your tub, and take it. You can guard against this by filling it with 9 more pitchers of water…Note that your “bubbles” (spider’s silk) will reappear opne the tub is full.

10)    Place the hay under the tub and lock it down.

11) Place the wheat and the horse shoes around the tub. If you are using the water trough, place your hay one tile over as a pet bed.

You can add little touches to make the stable your own. Lock down your favoritee pets food, for example. Meat for mares, fruits for ostards, million GP skinned goats for prima donna beetles....

If you are violently wealthy or a rockin' fast crate thief, get yourself a saddle!
Whips can look nice, as can extra hay, or the kind of hay bales you get from the NPC farmer at the farmer's market.
Vet reward statues or ethereal mount statuettes can also look cute in a stable.
